A Dedication to Edna Maney Prescott Dziak — and to the Millions Still in the Fight

In September 2004, just four years after Edna and I were married, we received news that would change the course of our lives forever: Edna was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 54. On the quiet drive home from Emory University, I made her a promise. Somehow, some way, we would "make lemonade" — we would turn this pain into purpose, and help others facing the same impossible road.

Edna’s battle ended in April 2020, but her legacy lives on in every page, every pillar, and every principle of the Life by Natural Causes learning system.

Over our fifteen-year journey together, I came to a powerful realization: the suffering and premature death caused by chronic diseases like Alzheimer’s is not inevitable. Much of it can be prevented, slowed, — even reversed — through daily decisions and lifestyle changes. While navigating the overwhelming landscape of care, I was drawn to an emerging medical movement called Functional Medicine, which, as The Institute for Functional Medicine defines it, “...determines how and why illness occurs and restores health by addressing the root causes of disease for each individual.”

That simple truth —  don't just treat the symptom, but address the cause — became the cornerstone of everything that followed.

Driven by thousands of hours of research, I began assembling what has now grown into an AI-enabled database of nearly a thousand carefully curated media elements — including expert interviews, breakthrough research, future trends, personal testimonials, and bold accomplishments by thousands of practitioners and their  patients on healthy paths. From this work emerged what I now call audacious health truths — insights that defy the conventional, yet hold the power to transform lives. Many of these truths are drawn from the growing AI-enabled alternative medicine revolution.

Life by Natural Causes (LBNC) is built on those truths — and it exists for one reason: to help others shift the trajectory of their health at scale.

How does LBNC work? Through a weekly stream of audacious truth media elements and coach-supported accountability, LBNC members are invited to make their health a top priority. The learning system guides participants through five stages of transformational change — Awareness, Acceptance, Application, Adoption, and Assimilation — all supported by their personal Team Healthy Me. Every insight, every action, every audacious truth helps them avoid, reduce, or even reverse chronic disease.

This learning system formed the foundation for a bold national vision: a U.S. Health Revival with one audacious goal — to become the 4th healthiest nation in the world by 2035.

This is the promise I made to Edna.
This is how we make lemonade. We'd love to have you join the revolution!

May God bless you, Edna. We are helping others every day.
